A FRENCH CUIRASSIER HEAVY CAVALRY SWORD, dated 1819, with 37 1/2 in. single-edged blade double-fullered on each side, blade spine engraved for Klingenthal, four-barred guard with inspection marks overstamped numbers and 'VERSAILLES', wooden grip, together with its steel scabbard with two suspension rings, worn, grip split, wire binding absent, guard with some knocks and grazes, scabbard with smoothed pitting deepening towards the drag, 45 1/2 in. overall
